News Media Question Bush's Budget

Here we go again, one more year of the media and winy democrats complaining of every unique proposal to come out of the white house. But before all that here is a little sanity from the republicans of course.
"It's an act of fiscal courage in this town to do that, and with this budget, President Bush once again proves that he is ready to lead," said House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas).

I won't credit any of them with links but I have read 20+ news stories the past few days, I was on vacation, all about some program the local nooses don't want cut. It seems all I have to do is call up my local Tribune office, tell them I need money and they will lobby the evil Bush administration for me. Where do they think this money comes from, not from some magical underground spring that finances the world governments.

Now this isn't isolated only to the democrats, of course the tribune puts it this way Both sides of aisle question Bush cuts. Not, Both Sides of aisle selfishly fight for millions. These politicians don't think these programs are worth a damn, they don't want local constituents calling them all day, because the government isn't subsidizing their way of life. I don't agree with every Budget decision this administration makes, in fact, I wish we didn't have to make cuts based on money, but on merit and quality, but that's not the case, for years local politicians have gotten fat and happy on federal dollars and now that money is scarce tough decisions have to be made. Once again it looks like only the President has the gumpsion to do what's right, not what's liked

"congress can write their own budget from scratch every year,' said Brian Riedl, an analyst at the conservative Heritage Foundation. Some say presidents often send up budgets with an array of cuts in order to appear (to be) fiscally responsible, knowing that Congress will selfishly restore many of them.
