Budget "cut" Example

If you care enough to look there are many ways the government can change for the better with out blindly increasing Budgets. I visit this site because I care deeply about education. House of Representatives - Committee on Education and the Workforce Home Page You can see from the head story that education has been over funded by 6 Billion Dollars. This isn't the whole story, only a brief paragraph in the never ending saga on what is best for the education of our children.

What it does show is that numbers can lie, what good does increasing the education Budget (for example) do if the money does do any educating. We could get a 6 Billion dollar improvement to the US educational system by just fixing the problem that hold that stop this money from going where it's needed. But that's not politically obvious, if President Bush didn't increase the dollar amount going to schools but instead improved education by delivering the 6 Billion Dollars, he would be hailed as "not funding education" that's why he has increased education spending by 51% since 2001, all the while trying to eliminate programs that eat up or hold up precise educational dollars by not performing. You see this money goes back to the federal piggy bank when money is allocated to specific programs that either don't work or nobody want to implementing. Theses type of programs need to be scaled back or cancelled, canceling a program is not popular, but it needs to be done to free up this much needed money.
