What was missing from Live 8

I applaud Kristof for saying what everybody else is ignoring, that Bush is a Friend of Africa (and in the NYT of all places) this is not going to sit well with there readers. see the fourm.

We as a nation, not Bush administration vs. Clinton administrations, but as a nation have helped Africa billions more than we get credit for. I watched the Live 8 as speaker after speaker asked for more money from the Governments, without addressing the aid given in the past 20 years. We as American citizens give far more than any government agency can, or I would want them to. And in my opinion, conservatives do it right, man helps man, not government helps man. Stop all the knee-jerk Bush bashing and look at the real picture.
